The Galtronics PEAR S5606i is an ultra flat omnidirectional antenna for in-building ceiling mount applications. Omni-directional dome antennas broadcast and receive signals from all sides.
This ultra-thin ceiling antenna can be painted with recommended paint “Krylon Fusion for Plastic” and is ideal for use in custom or luxury decor installations.
The PEAR S5606i is suitable for indoor use in applications such as passive Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS). The antenna is vertically polarized and operates in the 698-960 / 1710-2700 MHz frequency bands. It offers up to 6-7dB of gain.
The antenna has a 17" pigtail cable which is plenum rated.
The S5606i is a low-PIM antenna. PIM, or passive intermodulation, is form of distortion that occurs in devices like antennas as a result of nonlinearities in the system. It can be caused by dissimilar materials, design flaws, or corrosion by weather or age. PIM can cause significant disruption to system performance. The S5606i has been designed with all these factors in mind to minimise PIM.
Installation
The antenna is vertically polarized so must be mounted to the ceiling. It comes with a ceiling mount kit. The standard below ceiling mounting solution provides three threaded rods with washers and nuts to attach the antenna below suspended and Drywall ceilings.
An optional Galtronics Hard Ceiling Mount installation solution is also available.
