The Hawking outdoor wifi repeater is ideal if you wish to extend the range of a WiFi over a large outdoor area, such as a large garden or campground. The kit includes an main integrated directional antenna and amplifier, which is mounted outside and pointed towards the original WiFi network you wish to amplify. Two external 5dBi antennas then rebroadcast the new, boosted WiFi network. The kit is designed for outdoor use, and can be mounted to a pole on a roof or on the top of a large vehicle or RV. It is a heavy duty design and is fully waterproof.
This kit allows you to use the same internet connection in two separate locations. Examples of use would be mounted to the top of an RV to boost a campground WiFi, extending your Internet to an exterior building or garage, or sharing internet with a neighbor
How it works
The antenna mounts to the an exterior wall or roof using a pole mount. An integrated 11dBi directional antenna and amplifier receives the signal from the original WiFi network and amplifies it. The boosted signal is then rebroadcasted using the two 5 dBi omni-directional antennas.
The Smart Repeater Pro uses two Wi-Fi radios. One Wi-Fi radio receives the signal and the other radio rebroadcasts the boosted signal. This clever design allows the boosted signal to utilize a different WiFi channel, which grealy increases performance compared to single radio repeaters.
