The SC-230W Yagi Outdoor Antenna is a directional antenna that can reach cell towers up to 30 miles away. One of the highest performing antennas on the market, this SC-230W offers an average 10 dB of gain across all wireless frequencies (Voice/3G/4G/AWS/WLAN).
The SC-230W antenna measures 17.3” x 8.25” x 2.5” and offers 10dB/10dB/11dBi of gain.
It needs to be set up pointing in the direction of the cell tower, and because it is directional it will only pick up signal in that direction. It’s very powerful at picking up weak signal in one particular direction, and we recommend it for situations where existing outside signal is weak, and you only want to boost coverage for one carrier (or if more than one carrier has a cell tower in that direction). Installation
Directional antennas must be mounted horizontally and be aimed at the desired cellular tower for best results. Any metallic rods must be at least three feet from the antenna. The antenna comes with mounting equipment to attach to a 1 to 2 inch diameter pole (not included, available separately). For best results, the white fiber-glass portion of the antenna should be mounted above the roof line and unobstructed in the direction of the tower.
