The weBoost Drive 4G-X RV is a powerful in-vehicle signal booster kit designed specially for RVs.

The Drive 4G-X RV uses the most powerful amplifier permitted by the FCC (50 dB). It boosts voice calls, 2G data, 3G data, and 4G LTE on every major cell carrier in the United States and Canada. RVers can stay in contact for longer, with fewer dropped calls, longer battery life and faster data speeds on the road and while parked. If you only need a booster to use while the RV is stationary, you may be interested in the weBoost RV 4G.

The Drive 4G-X RV is completely wireless. It does not require a direct connection to the cell phone, and it can support multiple phones, tablets and other data devices at the same time.

Installation is simple and demonstrated in the video below. The donor omni antenna is mounted to the outside of the RV. A cable runs inside the vehicle and connects the outside antenna to the amplifier unit. Another cable connects the amplifier to the desktop antenna, which rebroadcasts the boosted signal inside the RV. The system will operate while the RV is moving and does not need to be stowed away.

RV 4G or Drive 4G-X RV?

There are two main differences between weBoost’s two RV booster kits. The first is that the RV 4G can only be used while the vehicle is parked. If you want to boost signal while driving, you will need the Drive 4G-X RV. The second difference is that the RV 4G is a more powerful booster (it offers 60 dB of gain vs. the Drive 4G-X RV’s 50 dB). This means that it will offer stronger signal and a greater coverage area than the Drive 4G-X RV. The Drive 4G-X RV will only cover all of the RV if outside signal strength is moderate to strong. If there is very weak outside signal, the booster will only boost signal across a few square feet near the unit. The reason for the difference in gain is that FCC regulations limit in-vehicle boosters to 50dB of gain while driving.

Outside Antenna

The weBoost/Wilson 304421 4G Omni Building Antenna is a convenient and durable 75 ohm exterior antenna. The Wilson 304421 is an omni-directional antenna. Omni-directional antennas receive signal from all directions, and so the antenna needs to be installed in a vertical position in the area of strongest signal. The antenna measures 7.5 x 2.6 x 2.6 in. and includes all necessary mounting hardware, including a cable entry cover.
