The weBoost (Wilson) Signal Taps allow you to split the signal from an amplifier with negligible signal loss. They are for use in signal distribution systems to split the amplified signal for multiple inside antennas for minimum signal loss, or for controlling the amount of signal to small and large areas. The splitter is wide-band, and so will work with all the amplifiers available on our site.
Unlike a conventional splitter, a tap does not split the signal exactly in half. Instead more signal is sent down one side than the other. You can use this splitter if you wish to cover two areas which are different in size. Alternatively, when used with other splitters, it can be used to create a system of many internal antennas with customized coverage areas.
Typically a 2ft cable is used to connect the splitter to the amplifier. Any cable length can be used, but the total cable length in the system should be kept to a minimum to minimize attenuation. Lengths of coaxial cable can then connect the splitter to the internal antennas. It has a weatherproof case suitable for indoor or outdoor use.
Product options
There are a few different tap options. Which one you need depends on your current system and the signal split you need. If you have any questions then please contact us.
- 10 dB Tap with 0.5 dB Pass-Thru with N-Female Connectors (859907). This splits the signal into 90% down one side, and 10% down the other side. It is for 50 ohm systems.
- 10 dB Tap with 0.5 dB Pass-Thru with F-Female Connectors (859976). This splits the signal into 90% down one side, and 10% down the other side. It is for 75 ohm systems.
