The Wilson Pro 4000R is the industry's first first rack mounted cell booster. It incorporates four separate signal amplifiers that feed four indoor antennas. This professional-grade all-bands multi-carrier signal booster amplifies and improves voice calls, 2G, 3G, and 4G LTE data on all US and Canadian carriers.
The WilsonPro 4000R is a powerful signal booster that is ideally suited to large buildings like offices, hospitals, warehouses, apartment blocks, schools, hotels, underground car parks, and other large multi-storey spaces. It offers coverage up to 100,000 sq ft. The unit offers FCC-approved up to 12dB more downlink power than other boosters, allowing for stronger signal where the incoming signal is weak. It has the highest permitted uplink power, providing greater user capacity and increased range. Meanwhile, the lower overload and shutdown threshold makes the booster perform equally well in strong signal environments like cities or locations near cell towers. The low threshold allows the 4000R to work with a stronger incoming signal before overloading and shutting down.
The Wilson Pro 4000R is very installation-friendly. The rack mounted design will fit into an existing server rack, leaving the unit easily accessible. The color LCD screen with four-way navigation gives integrators easy control of the unit.
The 4000R contains four boosters in one single rack-mounted unit. The unit has a range of intelligent software protections to maximise signal and prevent interference. Like other WilsonPro boosters, the Automatic Gain Control is always monitoring signal levels and making instant adjustments as required, allowing the booster to operate at maximum gain consistently. The 4000R offers even better control, as the onboard software independently and automatically controls each antenna path, ensuring great connectivity throughout the building. Every port is independently controlled, so gain can be adjusted up or down for each, without disrupting coverage from any other antenna.
The Extended Dynamic Range (XDR) feature lets the 4000R system work with an incoming signal up to 10 dB stronger than any competing booster can tolerate, before overloading and shutting down.
5 Critical Tips for the Wilson Pro 4000R:
1. Take signal measurements before you buy
The Wilson Pro 4000R can cover up to an area of up to 100,000 square feet, but only if your outdoor signal is strong enough. This isn't true for just the Pro 4000R, but across the board for all signal boosters.
We strongly recommend measuring your outdoor signal and speaking to our team of Signal Experts before you purchase. Our Signal Experts can help guide you to the best solution based on your signal conditions.
2. Getting your outdoor antenna positioned correctly is critical
As we explain in our Signal Booster Guide, the bars on your phone are more than just signal strength. Signal quality is absolutely critical.
The only way to improve the signal quality coming into your booster is getting the outdoor antenna positioned correctly. Our team of Signal Experts can help guide you as you install the Pro 4000R.
3. Consider the Wilson Pro 1000C and Wilson Pro 4000
In early 2019 Wilson released the Wilson Pro 1000C, which offers built-in cloud monitoring. If you'd like to be able to set up alarms in case of any issues, the Pro 1000C is worth considering - however it does not have 4 ports, as the 4000R does.
The Wilson Pro 4000 is identical to the Pro 4000R, except that it is wall-mountable instead of rack-mountable.
4. Consider the Cel-Fi QUATRA 2000
The Cel-Fi QUATRA 2000 targets a similar market to the Wilson Pro line, however it is a carrier-specific system that the FCC allows to utilize up to 100 decibels gain. The extra gain means the QUATRA works better in remote areas with very weak outdoor signal. The QUATRA also uses ethernet cable in place of coaxial cable.
It's not all upside, though. The QUATRA 2000 has both benefits and disadvantages. For example, each unit only works with 2 carriers at a time, so you need two sets for 4-carrier coverage. Additionally, installation can be a little more complicated than the Wilson Pro products.
5. The Wilson Pro 4000R is designed to be part of a custom-designed system
There's a reason that Wilson doesn't allow these units to be sold online: they're supposed to be designed into a custom system, with multiple antennas, splitters, couplers, and custom-length cables.
We offer complimentary design services using the industry-standard iBwave in-building design software. Simply contact our Signal Specialists and we'll chat through your building and requirements and help put together a custom solution for you.

Kit Contents
- Wilson 4000R rack mounted signal booster (460231)
- Wilson Wide-Band Directional Yagi Antenna (314411)
- 4 x Wilson Wideband Indoor Dome Antenna (304412)
- 1x2' , 1x75' , 4x100' low loss 400-type coaxial cable
- Lightning Surge Protector (859902)
Outside Antenna
The Wilson 314411 multi-band yagi antenna is a 700MHz - 2700MHz antenna with 8-10 dB of gain. It is a wide-band high performance antenna. The sealed housing is UV stabilized ABS plastic and is fully weather-proof.
It is a directional antenna. Directional antennas need to be pointed towards the nearest cell tower for the best results. It includes mounting equipment to attach to a pole up to 2in in diameter.
It connects easily to the included high quality 400 low loss coax cable.
Indoor Antenna
Four Wilson Wideband Indoor Dome Antennas are included with the Wilson Pro 4000R. They are omni-directional antennas. Omni-directional antennas receive signal from all directions, so they need to be installed in a vertical position in the area of strongest signal.
The 304412 is a 50 ohm antenna made of white ABS plastic and is suitable for indoor use only. Each antenna has 30mm cable attached with N Female connectors.
Lightning Surge Protector
The kit includes a lightning surge protector. We recommend using a lightning surge protector in most cases, but particularly if you are in an area with frequent lightning. The lightning surge protector should be installed in line with the cable and near the outdoor antenna, and should be properly grounded.
