Description

The Celona AP 13 and AP 13E are medium-power indoor/outdoor LTE access points designed for enterprise private network deployments in the CBRS Band 48 spectrum. Engineered for both indoor and rugged outdoor environments, these IP65-rated units are ideal for warehouses, loading docks, parking structures, and semi-industrial indoor spaces. The AP 13 features integrated antennas, while the AP 13E supports external directional or omnidirectional antennas for more flexible coverage.

Both models support up to 96 active users and deliver predictable low-latency performance using 2x2 MIMO and up to 40 MHz of carrier-aggregated bandwidth. They connect over Ethernet and are managed through Celona’s Orchestrator platform, with core functions provided by the Celona Edge. This model supports operation in Band 48 (3550–3700 MHz).

Deployment Requirements

To deploy the Celona AP 13 or AP 13E, you’ll need:

  • SAS registration: Required for CBRS Band 48 use. Celona automates this via Orchestrator.
  • Celona Edge and Orchestrator: Required for SIM provisioning, monitoring, and LTE core network functionality.
  • IP backhaul: Uses 1x RJ-45 Ethernet interface (1 Gbps). Requires site connectivity.
  • Power and mounting: Includes PoE injector. Requires 802.3bt (Type 3) PoE and wall or pole mounting.
  • Antennas:
    • AP 13 includes built-in directional antennas (13.5 dBi gain).
    • AP 13E requires external antennas (not included). Two 2-port or one 4-port antenna must be connected via Type-N connectors.
  • GPS synchronization:
    • AP 13 has built-in GPS.
    • AP 13E includes an external GPS antenna and supports IEEE 1588v2 PTP.
  • Environmental considerations: Both models are IP65 rated and operate from -40°C to 55°C in outdoor or semi-rugged environments.
