Description
The Peplink MAX BR2 Pro 5G is a rugged dual-5G router designed for mobile deployments where dual gigabit-class cellular paths are essential. Fleet vehicles, broadcast trucks, marine vessels, energy field sites, and emergency response vehicles rely on bonded dual 5G for uninterrupted connectivity. Two 5G NSA/SA Sub-6 GHz modems run simultaneously, bonded via SpeedFusion for maximum throughput, or operate in hot failover for seamless carrier handoff.
Wi-Fi 6 dual-band provides client access, integrated GPS supports fleet tracking, and a serial port allows out-of-band management for industrial or broadcast integrations. Edge computing support lets you run Docker containers or Python scripts locally, reducing cloud dependency and latency.
Two 5G modems, bonded
Two independent Sub-6 GHz 5G modems run at once, bonded by SpeedFusion into one faster connection or held in hot failover so a single carrier outage never takes you offline.
Built for trucks, boats, and field sites
The rugged enclosure and wide-voltage DC input handle vehicle power and rough environments, while integrated GPS keeps every unit locatable for fleet tracking.
Room to grow to three or four WANs
Add a MAX Adapter 5G on the USB port or a SIM Injector for more carriers, and SpeedFusion bonds every active link, cellular, Ethernet, and Wi-Fi, into one logical connection.
Run code at the edge
Docker containers and Python scripts run locally on the router, cutting cloud round-trips and latency for industrial and broadcast integrations.
Features
- 2× Embedded 5G Sub-6 GHz Modems: two independent cellular paths.
- Dual SIM Slots per Modem: carrier redundancy and failover.
- GigabitEthernet WAN and LAN Ports: wired uplink and downstream connectivity.
- Wi-Fi Dual-Band: local client access.
- SpeedFusion Bonding & Hot Failover: WAN Bonding, Hot Failover, and WAN Smoothing across both 5G modems.
- PepVPN Site-to-Site VPN: secure site-to-site tunnels.
- Advanced QoS: individual bandwidth limits and application prioritization.
- Rugged Enclosure: for vehicle and field deployments.
- Wide-Voltage DC Input: for vehicle power.
Carrier Support
- Certified for AT&T, FirstNet, T-Mobile, and Verizon
- Uses 4FF Nano SIMs + eSIM, with optional SIM Injector for additional carriers
- 5GN US variant supports extended bands: n13, n14, n75, n76 (global variant differs slightly)
Both modems are 5G Sub-6 GHz and do not support mmWave 5G. Sub-6 is the spectrum that carries nationwide 5G coverage, so it's what you'll connect to in nearly every location.
Kit Contents

- 8× LTE/5G antennas
- 2× dual-band Wi-Fi antennas
- Active GPS antenna
- 12V 3A 4-pin power supply
Frequently Asked Questions
Why dual 5G instead of a single modem?
Dual modems enable SpeedFusion bonding for combined bandwidth and seamless failover. A single modem with multiple SIMs can only connect to one carrier at a time.
How does SpeedFusion bonding work across the two modems?
Bonds both cellular links and any additional WAN (Ethernet, Wi-Fi, USB) for aggregate throughput. Supports Hot Failover and WAN Smoothing for low-latency, uninterrupted connections.
Can I add a third or fourth cellular connection?
Yes. The USB WAN port accepts a Peplink MAX Adapter 5G (sold separately) for an instant third 5G connection. You can also add a Peplink SIM Injector for additional SIM slot capacity. SpeedFusion bonds all active WANs into one logical connection.
How is the BR2 Pro 5G different from the standard BR2 or BR2 Micro?
- BR2: Dual LTE Cat-7 modems, Wi-Fi 5, 4 LAN ports, 300 Mbps throughput, a cost-effective dual-LTE solution.
- BR2 Micro: Dual LTE Cat-4, smaller form factor, no Wi-Fi or GPS, USB-C power, ideal for ultra-compact or limited-power deployments.
