Description
The CEL-FI QUATRA 4000c is the ultimate solution as the market's first neutral host DAS system designed to provide reliable in-building cellular coverage and seamless private networking. Combining industry-leading cellular coverage with CBRS private networking capabilities, it offers businesses the flexibility to extend their wireless network infrastructure. The QUATRA 4000c is built for a wide range of enterprise environments, delivering robust connectivity and quick deployment.
This system ensures businesses can handle increasing data traffic and communication needs by providing reliable voice, text, and data services across multiple carriers. It supports easy scalability and enables companies to seamlessly transition to Industry 4.0, supporting real-time applications with improved security, performance, and control over their networks.
Features
-
Multi-Operator Coverage: Provides reliable cellular connectivity for AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, and other carriers, ensuring voice, text, and data services across all supported networks.
- Fast Installation: The system can be installed, commissioned, and activated within days, thanks to its Cat 6 cable architecture, offering faster deployment compared to traditional DAS systems.
- Multi-Mode Flexibility: Supports both public cellular signal sources, either off-air or small cell, for a flexible and robust setup.
- Network Safe: Carrier-approved with no noise guarantee, ensuring your system operates smoothly without interfering with existing cellular networks.
- Remote Monitoring and Management: View real-time system performance and manage network configurations via the Nextivity WAVE Portal for efficient monitoring and maintenance.
- Powered by IntelliBoost®: The Nextivity IntelliBoost® chip uses digital signal processing to enhance cellular performance, providing industry-leading coverage at the lowest cost per square foot. IntelliBoost ensures that CEL-FI solutions are network-safe and approved for use globally by over 200 mobile network operators.
WAVE Portal
The Cel-Fi WAVE Portal is a cloud-based platform that gives you complete control of your QUATRA system from anywhere. Access it from a computer or mobile device to monitor performance, configure settings, receive alerts, and apply software updates.
In addition to managing QUATRA, the WAVE Portal also supports monitoring of private networks deployed through Cel-Fi HARMONY. HARMONY Private Networking is low-cost, low-risk, and ultra flexible compared to existing options to set up a private network.
Features of the platform include:
-
Carrier-grade security with mobile and desktop access.
-
Includes asset management, data modeling, and custom alerts for data and reporting.
-
Can be accessed via web interface or integrated via API.
CBRS Private Networking
The QUATRA 4000c supports both public cellular carriers and private CBRS networks on the same infrastructure. With a subscription to Nextivity's HARMONY Private Networking Service, a CBRS-enabled private network can be generated.
-
Secure and Controlled Connectivity: The solution is well-suited for sensitive environments, IoT-heavy deployments, and smart building applications. It offers encryption and authentication to protect communications where data privacy is critical.
-
Lower Cost Deployment: By leveraging Ethernet cabling and Power over Ethernet (PoE), the system does not need traditional DAS head-end equipment and rooftop installations.
-
Future-Ready Architecture: Designed to support IoT, AI, Industry 4.0, and advanced safety applications such as firearm shot detection when paired with Nextivity’s smart antennas and WAVE services.
-
Improved Performance: Private networks minimize congestion and interference, making them ideal for real-time applications like machine learning, predictive maintenance, and other performance-critical tasks.
-
Greater Control: Businesses can configure and manage their private network to meet specific needs, offering complete control over their communication infrastructure.

System Components
QUATRA 4000c Network Unit
The Network Unit is the central hub of the QUATRA 4000c system. It includes four donor ports—three dedicated to AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile, plus one for a private network signal source. Each NU can power and manage up to six Coverage Units using standard Ethernet cabling with Power over Ethernet (PoE).
-
Receives both public carrier and private network donor signals.
-
Distributes power and signal to up to six Coverage Units.
-
Connects via Ethernet or LTE modem to the Nextivity WAVE Portal for remote management and monitoring.
QUATRA 4000c Coverage Unit
The Coverage Unit extends coverage inside the building by rebroadcasting the donor signals from the Network Unit. Powered through PoE, the CUs are quick to install, self-configuring, and self-optimizing for consistent performance.
-
Delivers cellular and private network coverage across the facility (up to six CUs per NU).
-
Powered entirely via Ethernet cabling from the Network Unit.
-
Self-configures and optimizes automatically.
-
Compatible exclusively with the QUATRA 4000c Network Unit.
QUATRA 4000 Fiber Hub (Optional)
The Fiber Hub expands the reach and capacity of the QUATRA 4000 / 4000c / 4000i / 4000e systems. A single NU can support an additional six Coverage Units - 12 total - when paired with a Fiber Hub. With support for distances up to 2 km, it enables coverage across large buildings and multi-building campuses without sacrificing signal quality.
-
Extends donor signals over fiber up to 2 km (1.24 miles).
-
Expands capacity to 12 Coverage Units per Network Unit.
-
FCC certified (SFP+ module sold separately).
QUATRA 4000 Range Extender (Optional)
The Range Extender (QRE) increases the maximum supported distance between the Network Unit and the Coverage Unit. As a Power over Ethernet (PoE) device, it requires no additional power supply or external PoE injector, simplifying installation.
