Can I use it as a 5G adapter with my existing firewall?

Yes. Connect the BR1 Pro 5G to your existing router or firewall's WAN port and configure it in IP Passthrough or Drop-in Mode. Your existing network setup stays intact and you gain a 5G WAN uplink without any reconfiguration.

Does the 2.5 GbE WAN port actually matter?

Yes, if your 5G connection can deliver gigabit-plus speeds. Mid-band 5G on T-Mobile or Verizon C-Band can exceed 1 Gbps in good coverage. The 2.5 GbE WAN port ensures the Ethernet connection to your network is not the bottleneck. On LTE or sub-1 Gbps 5G, a standard GbE port would suffice, but the 2.5 GbE is future-proof.

What Docker applications can I run on it?

Any containerized application: custom scripts, data processing pipelines, third-party IoT software, caching for offline deployments, or monitoring agents. The BR1 Pro 5G runs Docker natively without additional hardware, which makes it a complete edge deployment platform in a compact rugged enclosure.

What's the difference between the 5GK and 5GN models?

The 5GK is the US and FCC variant, certified on AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, U.S. Cellular, and FirstNet, and it's the model Waveform carries. The 5GN is the global variant with a slightly different band set, and we don't list it because it duplicates US carrier coverage at the same price.
